Thank God that my company has left. No one is ever staying over again. I don't really mean that, but cHubby's family were awful. I just don't appreciate people that don't have good members. I'm not saying that I have the best manners in the world, but these people are a bit ridiculous. If they were my family I would say something, but cHubby doesn't stick up for himself. He says that it doesn't bother him about the money, but it bothers me. I mean, we basically let BIL bring his girlfriend, who we don't know, and she mooches off of us for a week. There was no offer, "thanks for making dinner, we'll make it tomorrow." So for the last 4 days of the trip, I stopped cooking and we went out. It is cheaper for us to go out and pay for 2 meals then it is to cook 5 meals. SIL, sigh, is still bothersome as I don't really know what to do with her. I think I try, and I tried to spend time with her 1 on 1. Took her out to get her hair done (which I paid for), took her out to high tea. I did this as she took me out shopping in America in March. It is just that it is strange how she acts. I got myself into trouble while they where here at Pub Trivia. 1) I had way too much to drink. 2) "Curtis and I don't come home because he hates your family". I know that it was harsh and there was silence when it came out. There is a lot of context behind it, meaning that a lot times we visit them they make us feel bad for who we are and how we live our lives. And that holidays are never enjoyable. It came out very aggressive and probably shouldn't have said it. At least I say things, unlike cHubby who just sits there and acts passively.

We had a wedding yesterday of the friends that weren't speaking to us because of the Tetsuya's incident. It was a really nice wedding. She looked beautiful and we had a nice time. Sometimes I feel that cHubby and I missed out on that whole wedding experience, but then I quickly remember that it isn't for us.
