In combination of my birthday and a few other things, we decided to go on another vacation. Tickets were cheap and so we decided to go to Vanuatu. cHubby and I decided that this was going to be better than a present. In my spare time at work and dealing with the travel agent that we used for Lizard Island, we booked a trip to Port Vila. I was keen (goodness the Australian is coming out) to go the Santo for a wreck dive but cHubby said that he didn't have enough vacation leave. He's been very good lately about taking vacations, I don't know if he'll ever admit it but I know that he was a bit scared from the accident. I think that this is his way of cheering me up.

cHubby is also going on a guys weekend away next weekend to Brisbane with two other guys. I set up most of the itinerary so I hope that he has a nice time. Since we moved, I know that he is not going golfing as much as he used to. I think that he misses his friends back at home as well.

The birthday was pretty uneventful. We went out to eat at Rockpool nearby. We walk by the restaurant in The Rocks and it always looks tasty. I got a special dessert for my birthday that I should have taken home at ate later. It was a rich chocolate cake with toffee. The dissappointment was the entree. I ordered Zushi which turned out to be rice with a bit of sashimi with Korean kimchi and red pepper paste on the plate.

Someone please explain to me how that is gourmet...
